Product Description

Mitered Handrail is mitered and jointed at a 45 degree angle on both ends. Use handrail brackets to attach your handrail to the wall.

6100 Extreme Handrail is 2” at its widest point & 1 1/2” at its tallest point. The 6100 is perfect for using with our Box Newels. The 6100 was designed for use in our Extreme Makeover: Home Edition project, and adds a great touch to any stairway.

Rarely, in some species joints will be necessary in longer handrails. Joints are always done with color and grain match as the priority.

Wood Grain & Color Variation

At StairSuppliesTM we strive to match the grain and color of all of our wood products as closely as possible. However, due to the natural character of wood products, there may be instances in which a perfect grain and color match is not possible. By ordering from StairSuppliesTM, you acknowledge that there may be some variation in the grain and color of your wood products.

What are the dimensions of the 90 degree angle? How far off the wall is the railing offset by this 90 degree elbow? Is it compatible with your “classic handrail bracket” ? Is it possible to get it cut shorter to make the rail sit closer to the wall?

Thank you for your questions. The return on this handrail is actually manufactured longer than what is typically required. It is designed to be trimmed to the exact project needs on site at the time of installation. If you need any further assistance regarding this, please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected].

This may seem obvious, but I don’t know. How do you attach the rosette to the wall & rail to the rosette?

Hi Janis,

You’ll probably have the best results using trim screws to install your rosette to the wall. To fasten your handrail to your rosette, you’ll want a Rail Bolt Kit & a wood plug to match the wood species you’ll be working with. If you have additional questions, please give our team a call at 1 (866) 226-6536.
