I don’t see black exterior post mounting screws, yet the metal posts are black. Will look bad to have silver or gold screws. Do you offer black screws?
Unfortunately we don’t offer black screws. Most customers like the look of the Stainless Steel screws as it’s the same color as the Stainless Steel fittings & cable that are running through the post. Additionally, once you’ve completed your installation you can always quickly touch up the screw heads with a little flat black paint.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Are these suitable for anchoring to concrete and/or masonry? Exterior stair/guard rail for example.
Thank you for asking, Robert. These screws are designed specifically for anchoring into wood.
Surface Mounted Posts on a concrete floor with porcelain floor tiles – Will the Foot Cover allow an expansion anchor w/nut and washer in place of the GRQ screws and still provide a flush-to-floor fit?
Thanks for your question, Joe. For concrete applications with tile, we recommend using our special application mount posts. This offers a thicker, wider base plate and foot cover than our standard posts. In Stainless Steel, the special application plate and cover would leave you with 15/16” of room, while an Aluminum plate and cover would give you 7/8” of room.
